I am not just a poet

I've told you I'm just a poet

Yet you think I'm so much more

You say that I saved you

When you got close to death's door

But how can I save you

When I've been so recently saved

I've only just found my place in life

I've only just got the love I craved

But I still find things difficult

Can you expect any more from life?

So I put my pen to paper

And that's how I cope with my strife

But when you read my poetry

You see something inside

But honestly, they're just words

Of how I loved and laughed and cried

You say I'm not just a poet

You say I'm something more

But I'm just trying to fight depression

I'm just trying to win this war

Because I'm just a poet

A boy that writes words that rhyme

I'm just hoping you won't forget me

Over the course of time

One Thing!

one thing,

that i still live on,

one thing,

that doesnt let me move on,

one thing,

that is always there,

one thing ,

that i, or anyone, cant share

one thing,

that opens my ways

one thing,

for me,without my concern, prays

one thing,

that doesnt change,

one thing

that is very strange

one thing,

that no one can disturb,

one thing,

that i cant curb

one thing,

that helps me reach my goals,

one thing,

owned by my holy soul

one thing,

that is like an indefinite rope,

my dear readers,

its nothing else but my undying HOPE!

Flight of Fantasy

I lay down at night on my terrace;
Staring atop, admiring god's unparalleled grace.
Relishing the wind's ticklish caress.
Interrupted by the artificial light's trace.

No, I don't question the sky,
No, I don't desire to fly.

No, I don't question the moon,
I'm happy, I'm blessed with her boon.

No, I don't question the stars,
No, I don't start any wars.

I'd rather replace "wow!!" for "why??"
In this way, myself I satisfy.

Upon the food you've provided, I'd feed.
With the mate you've gifted, I'd breed.
That's it, and I'd stay away from all other greed.

I just lay down at night on my terrace;
Staring atop, admiring god's elegant face.
Relishing the wind's ticklish caress.
Interrupted by the artificial light's trace.
Wishing it were all true.
Oh mighty blue!!
Wish I were as natural as you.
